Inspiration: The Timeless Style of Audrey Hepburn
Hello friends. Today, I am sharing another fun dress card, this time inspired by the timeless style and elegance of Audrey Hepburn. It was so much fun to create the first dress card, that I needed to make another. I really wanted to mimic the style of dress that Audrey Hepburn would have worn, and I knew I had the perfect patterned paper in my stash.
To begin, I die-cut my card base from ivory cardstock using the Back to Basics Party Dress Die from Keep It Simple Papercrafts. Out of navy cardstock, I used the die for the card base and cut just the front portion so that my dress would have a navy background. I also die-cut the dress outline from navy cardstock.
Because I wanted to do some more paper-piecing, I used the outline die again to die-cut the insert panels from the Farmhouse Fall 6 x 9 Collection Pack and the sleeve panels from ivory. Once I had all of my pieces ready, I adhered everything in place. Using a scrap strip of ivory cardstock, I created a belt which I glued down to the card front.
Lastly, I created a flower using ribbon, a needle, some thread, and a little pearl the place in the center. Using my hot glue gun, I adhered it to the card front, and followed up with some small pearl embellishments for buttons on the bodice.
I just love the classic elegance of this beautiful dress. The possibilities are endless with these dies! I hope that you love what you see! If you do, please make sure to subscribe to my blog so that you are notified when I upload new content!
Thank you so much for spending a few minutes of your day with me!
