Nothing like little boys!
Happy Wednesday, friends! We’ve made it to the halfway point! To celebrate, I am sharing a cute pocket tag card! There’s nothing like little boys, is there?! For this project, I used the Boys Boys Boys Collection from Keep it Simple Paper Crafts. It is full of all the things little boys love – trucks, tractors, dinosaurs, spaceships, and more!
To create this card, I started with a base of navy cardstock, that I trimmed down into a large rectangle. I decorated the front using one of the patterned papers from the 12 x 12 Paper Pad. Before adhering it to the front of the card base, I inked the edges with navy ink. Next, I framed one of the ephemera pieces with navy cardstock and added it to the front.
For the back of the card, I added another patterned paper (inked edges) to the base. Using another piece of the patterned paper pack, I created the pocket by scoring the edges and mitering them to eliminate unnecessary bulk and the adhered the pocket to the back of the card base and let it dry.
Next, I punched a hole at the top of the card and ran a piece of ribbon through it. I added a fun bow using the same ribbon which I adhered with my hot glue gun, and then added a piece of ephemera to the center.
I wanted to create an insert for the pocket that provides space to write a message. To begin, I started with a piece of white cardstock and wrapped the top with a piece of the Boys Boys Boys Washi Tape. I adhered the panel to a piece of navy cardstock, and I finished it up with a few of the cute ephemera pieces.
I had so much fun creating this cute pocket tag card that I created another feminine version so stay tuned for that to come soon! To be sure that you don’t miss being notified when I post it, make sure to subscribe to my blog!
Thanks so much for spending a few minutes of your day with me!
