Sweet Happy Birthday Wishes to You

Happy Saturday, friends! I hope your June is off to an amazing start. Today, I am on the Prickley Pear Stamps and Dies blog sharing a card full of sweet happy birthday wishes.

I absolutely love the Build A Cupcake stamps from Prickley Pear Stamps and Dies. There are several stamp sets that use one set of dies, and they include cupcakes for several different occasions. The versatility of these sets makes me happy.

Using my Copic markers, I colored the cupcake pieces and the sentiment. I cut them out using the coordinating dies and set them aside.

To create a soft, feminine card, I decided to use a palette of baby pink and yellow, with a pop of blue violet. I paired two patterned papers from the Keep It Simple Back to Basics line (Lemon and Ruby) with a soft pink card stock to create my card base. In order to add a lacy touch, I die-cut the pink patterned paper and white cardstock using the Stitched Scalloped Border Dies from Kat Scrappiness and adhered them to the yellow plaid panel.

I wanted to frame the focal image with an oval, so I die-cut a pink scalloped oval using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scalloped Oval Dies and a white stitched oval using the Stitched Oval Dies. After adhering them together, I added them to the card front.

To add a bit of additional interest to the sentiment panel, I inked up the edges using a yellow ink pad before adhering it to a pink panel. I popped the sentiment and the cupcake up on foam squares and added them to the card front.

To complete the card, I added some Blush Rhinestones and a loopy bow with a flower in the middle that I pulled from the Hoppy Days Sprinkle Mix.
